Our facility based in Edmonton includes a secure biohazard level II microbiology laboratory for inoculation of products with pathogenic and spoilage bacteria. We have the capacity to carry out extended shelf life studies, microbial isolation and identification, DNA-based typing, determine pathogen survival, or evaluate microbial growth in a commercial food product.

With more than 17 years of experience behind us our team of scientists are able to design, consult, conduct, and analyse experiments of any complexity for our customers.

CanBiocin has received “Good Laboratory Practice” (GLP) facilities recognition and we are currently pursuing full GLP recognition through the Standards Council of Canada. At CanBiocin we pride ourselves on maintaining a quality system of management controls ensuring consistent, reliable, and reproducible results.
